Today, Peter Hächler (1922 in Lenzburg – 1999 in Lenzburg) is one of Switzerland’s most renowned sculptors and one of the most radical in terms of formal aesthetics. His oeuvre is characterized by a strictly geometric vocabulary of forms and, to an equal extent, by intuitive playful positions. After more than 20 years, Haus Konstruktiv is dedicating a solo exhibition in a museum to this Aargau artist, with the title “Metamorphoses”. Here, particular attention is paid to his Lenzburg studio, which has been transported into the museum. Models made of various materials, figurative sculptures, portraits, photographs, drawings, sketches and prints from all periods of his work, as well as objects that served Hächler as sources of inspiration, allow direct insight into this artist’s work processes.
