Please note that this program will be held in German.
Kinder-Kultur-Akademie Zürich (KKAZ) is an educational project for children and youths. Each semester, participants discover new and exciting cultural institutions and look behind the scenes of music, theatre, visual arts and dance. Together they develop their own creations. At the end of the term, the children and youths receive a personal KKAZ diploma in recognition of their creative achievements and the courage to develop and realise their own ideas.
In the coming semester, KKAZ participants will get to know Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Kunsthalle Zürich and Museum Haus Konstruktiv under the motto ‘We go together!’.

What can be collected? Shells, colours, memories – or even fabrics? At the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, we’ll create a large patchwork blanket from old fabric scraps and celebrate with a creative picnic on top of it! If you like, bring along a used textile of your own.
At Museum Haus Konstruktiv, we’ll collect patterns and colours we encounter everywhere and create our own small collections.
How does our body move through the city? At Kunsthalle Zürich, we’ll take a performative stroll through the museum and public space, discover exciting things from the city, and collect objects along the way to turn into our own artworks.

What traces do we leave, and what can we create from what we collect? Over three Saturdays, you’ll dive into three museums and get creative yourself! At Museum Haus Konstruktiv, everything revolves around patterns and structures – you’ll discover and create your own small collection. At the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, you’ll transform old T-shirts and fabrics – with colours, embroidery, or messages, you’ll create your own upcycling design, and any clothing you bring along can be refreshed. If you like, you can bring your own T-shirts and clothes. At Kunsthalle Zürich, you’ll explore public space, collect traces and special materials from the city, and turn them into something unique.
