The interior design of the new premises was provided by the Zurich architectural firm Fuhrimann/Hächler (AFGH), which had also designed the café and shop area at the previous location in the ewz-Unterwerk Selnau building (2007/2021). Here, considerable emphasis was placed on sustainability: the pre-existing tables and bistro chairs from the previous café were integrated into the new design, as was the furniture from the museum shop and reception area.

A particular highlight of the café is a Knitter-Skulptur by the Italian artist Esther Stocker (*1974 in Schlanders), whose reused materials from earlier Knitter-Skulpturen – on view until the relocation in spring 2025 in the exhibition Concepts of the All-Over at the ewz-Unterwerk Selnau – are continued in a new work conceived especially for the café space. Also striking are the colourful magnet works by Navid Tschopp (*1978 in Mashhad) entitled Parasitische Gärten, as well as a large-scale wall sculpture by Carissa Rodriguez (*1970 in New York) titled Orange Curve.
