Workshop

In this two-hour workshop, students will first explore the exhibition The Body Within Abstraction, before getting creative themselves in the studio.

Constructive-concrete art does not depict people or objects. It works solely with lines, shapes and colours. However, the exhibition shows that the human body is present in constructive-concrete art, even if it is not immediately recognisable. First, the students explore the exhibition and discover the hidden bodies within the artworks.

In the second half of the workshop, they head to the studio. There, they playfully create their own constructivist-concrete figures. This allows them to experience how shapes, lines and colours can come together with a little imagination to form unique, lively figures.

Costs:
Free of charge for primary schools in the city of Zurich (limited contingent).

For primary schools and recognised private and clinic schools from the Canton of Zurich: CHF 150 incl. ZVV ticket (limited contingent)
In cooperation with Schule+Kultur, Education Department of the Canton of Zurich.

Standard costs: CHF 300.
